Festive Fun - buy the teeshirt, bust a barrier & be there...

In case the festive season is overwhelming and you feel that you really must get back out into the Big Society, here are a few ideas to keep you occupied without even lifting your fingers from the keyboard:

  • Buy the teeshirt. Community development consultant Alison Gilchrist is diversifying.  Go to the sales department at her website.

  • Bust a barrier.  The Department of Communities and Local Government is keen to help you by removing the red tape, rules and regulations that are stopping you put your good ideas into action.  Fill in the form and the barrier-busting team will swing into action.

  • Be there –  At two occasions in February promoted by Empowering Communities.  Visit this post at Empowerment Works to express your interest in our event for stakeholders on 10th February, Keeping Empowerment Working.  And make sure that you are at the head of the queue for a place at our Colloquium on 17th February to discuss the role that Community-led Planning will play in the new context created by the Localism Bill.  We’ve already confirmed participants including Sylvia Brown of ACRE,  Kate Braithwaite of the Carnegie Trust’s Rural Programme,  and have a perspective from Ireland from Ciaran Lynch of the Tipperary Institute on Integrated Area Plans.  Secure a place or ask more by sending me an email.
The blog will be back in the New Year.
